Location Gainesville, FL
Project Size 104,880 SF
Construction Cost $37,797,325
Description

The College of Veterinary Medicine Small Animal Hospital, at the University of Florida, includes educational and research space and a linear accelerator facility for small animals.  The new Animal Hospital also has one of the only veterinary interventional radiology and cardiology facilities in the nation and boasts 22 examination rooms and 12 surgical suites.

This project consists of a three-story, approximately 105,000 gross square foot, addition to the Small Animal Hospital (SAH). Besides clinical areas, the facility offers a 140-seat seminar room and space for educational programs.

As a capital project, the SAH to relieves space deficiencies, which had caused a less efficient hospital function in the previous building. In addition, the growth will allow the SAH to increase its caseload, provide a new linear accelerator facility, and create a healthier environment for patients and clinicians.
