| Description | The Atrium is an adult congregate living facility (ACLF) located in Northwest Gainesville, convenient to shopping and public transportation. This successful retirement community is a 5-story, 245 unit building with a central five-story atrium space. Construction is stucco over masonry bearing walls with precast concrete floors and roof. This provided an economical and highly durable building. Internally, floors and awnings were color coded to assist the residents in easily recognizing their unit location within the project. The main entrance has a conveniently located covered drop-off which leads to the Atrium lobby and reception area. Dining facilities, lounge areas, and shops look out onto the Atrium and are easily identified. |
