This two story building on the Loften High school site provided 16 new classrooms, a multipurpose area, kitchen and associated support spaces.
The building is block construction with a stucco exterior. The new building was constructed on an existing campus, on a confined site with limited access and a limited staging area. Because the school remained in use during the construction, it required careful scheduling of deliveries to ensure they did not interfere with the bus schedules and other activities on the campus. In addition, the close proximity of the work to students and faculty required that
special precautions be in place to ensure the safety of all campus users.
This addition achieved LEED Silver Certification.
