| Description | The Flagler County Emergency Operations Center is one component of a fully master planned county government center located in Bunnell, Florida. This one story 26,000 GSF facility is a fully hardened, self contained hurricane facility that will be the center of county government operations under emergency conditions. The building is constructed from tilt wall concrete and structural steel and all building envelope systems are designed to withstand winds exceeding 140 mph. In addition to the Emergency Operations Center, the facility houses the county Central Data Center, 911 operations, training rooms, staff offices and support space. For emergency situations, the facility contains sleeping quarters, bath and shower facilities and kitchen facilities for the 24/7 staff that will be manning the building. The EOC also maintains full provisions for 24 hour emergency backup power and communications. |
