Description

This project includes new meeting rooms, folding partitions, offices, classrooms, restrooms, a book drop, computer training area, reference area, children’s library with decorative learning tree, reading room, café, and an environmental learning center featuring an architectural dome ceiling. In addition, the facility contains the Lyonia Environmental Center, which maintains environmental displays and booths about Volusia’s ecosystems and offers tours of the Lyonia Preserve.   

The amphitheater consists of a 700-person seating area and additional hillside grass seating, a stage and basement stage storage, a retaining wall, a lighting and sound system and a concession area. The seating is made from integral colored split face CMU with a precast cap and will have pervious concrete as walkways in between seating rows. Covering the amphitheater is a fabric shade structure consisting of 7 sails. The concession stand is constructed of identically color split face block to match the seating area and retaining wall with a standing seam metal roof over a Loadmaster deck system which is attached to metal trusses.
