FIELD ENGINEERS / SUPERINTENDENTS / SR. SUPERINTENDENTS

LOCATION: Multiple locations throughout Florida – (Jacksonville, Orlando, Tampa and Gainesville)

EXPERIENCE: Healthcare, K-12 and High Education 

SUMMARY:
Superintendents are responsible for all field related activity such as jobsite safety, cost, quality, and schedule on one or more projects, depending on scope and scale of the work. They work closely with management staff regarding all aspects of the project. They also communicate regularly with the General Superintendent, requesting support and taking direction as necessary to ensure successful project delivery.  Maintain relationships with Clients, Architects, Consultants and Subcontractors. Daily activities are conducted to promote the company's vision, mission and core values.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Assists business development and marketing efforts as requested to procure work
  • Mentors and assists project staff
  • Assists the preconstruction efforts by conducting constructability reviews, preliminary schedule feedback, suggestions for value analysis
  • Assist management staff in developing bid scopes, conducting bid and scope analysis, and making recommendations for contract award
  • Create, implement, and monitor the site logistics and management plan
  • Plan and coordinate daily work activity, including sequencing and interaction of trades
  • Monitor and maintain the construction schedule and take corrective action as required
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and enforce compliance or take corrective actions
  • Monitor the timely approval of submittals and assist the management team in identifying long lead items
  • Assist the management staff when necessary in reviewing shop drawings and submittals
  • Exercise primary responsibility for project safety, including site separation and jobsite activity
  • Exercise primary responsibility for Jobsite quality control
  • Accurately document the daily progress of the Project
  • Conduct and keep a record of weekly progress meetings with the trades
  • Maintain complete and organized records at the site
  • Ensure timesheets and materials are job coded and cost coded properly
  • Ensure material procurement and delivery in a timely manner
  • Review job costs regularly with management staff
  • Maintain tool inventory and report status as required
  • Ensure the punch list is created, distributed and completed in a timely manner  
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA jobsite requirements
  • Understand and utilize the Company Policy and Procedures Manual and Best Practices Guidelines including Master Forms Library
  • Participate in ongoing training efforts
  • Ensure workplace safety. Report issues to project team immediately
  • Performs other functions as requested of them
  • Conduct evaluations for all assigned employees on your project

PROJECT ENGINEERS / PROJECT MANAGERS / SR. PROJECT MANAGERS

SUMMARY:
The Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact on one project, or multiple smaller projects. They are responsible for all aspects of the project(s) including project team performance, cost, quality, schedule, and safety. Maintain relationships with Clients, Architects, Consultants and Subcontractors. Daily activities are conducted to promote the company's vision, mission and core values.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists business development and marketing efforts to procure work
  • Assists the preconstruction efforts by conducting constructability reviews, developing preliminary schedules, and providing suggestions for value analysis
  • Reviews preconstruction deliverables prior to submittal
  • Develop project chart of accounts with cost codes and associated budget
  • Develop bid manual, including work scopes and milestone schedule
  • Manage the bid process, including pre-bid meetings and RFIs
  • Conduct bid and scope analysis and make recommendations for subcontract award.
  • Prepare detailed construction schedules with superintendent and subcontractor input
  • Write subcontracts in a timely manner
  • Timely manage owner and subcontractor change orders
  • Timely manage the approval of subcontractor and vendor invoices
  • Timely submit application for payments to owners and monitor pay process
  • Accurately project the financial position of jobs through job cost reporting
  • Monitor and maintain the construction schedule and take corrective action as required 
  • Monitor subcontractor performance and enforce compliance or take corrective actions
  • Monitor the timely approval of submittals and assist the management team in identifying long lead items
  • Manage the ODP and LEED program, if applicable
  • Manage the flow of information between the O/A/E, subcontractors, and project team
  • Monitor accuracy of meeting minutes and ensure issues are addressed in a timely manner
  • Manage the close out process and ensure completion in a timely and organized manner
  • Maintain overall knowledge of the project(s) at all times
  • Maintain clear communication between the project team and CPPI executives
  • Assist accounting efforts for audit and project reconciliation
  • Coordinate the warranty effort
  • Provide monthly project reports
  • Manage the permitting process and maintain all required insurance and bonds
  • Understand and utilize the Company Policy and Procedures Manual and Best Practices Guidelines including Master Forms Library
  • Oversee quality control program implementation  Adherence to Quality Control Program
  • Manage project warranty/post occupancy issues
  • Participate in ongoing training efforts
  • Ensure workplace safety. Report issues to project team immediately
  • Performs other functions as requested of them
  • Conduct evaluations for all assigned employees on your project
  • Ensure client needs are exceeded throughout the course of delivery

ESTIMATORS  

LOCATION: Multiple locations throughout Florida – (Orlando and Gainesville)

EXPERIENCE: Healthcare, K-12 and High Education 

SUMMARY:
The Estimator is responsible for analyzing project documents, coordinating information flow with subcontractors and suppliers, evaluating quantity and cost information, and assembling deliverables for both hard bid and negotiated work.  Maintain relationships with Clients, Architects, Consultants and Subcontractors. Daily activities are conducted to promote the company's vision, mission and core values.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review bid requirements thoroughly
  • Develop thorough understanding of the scope of work
  • Prepare RFI's and clarifications
  • Ensure adequate subcontractor coverage
  • Coordinate any special requirements i.e. MBE/WBE, etc.
  • Create sub lists with input from Project Executive and/or Project Manager
  • Contact plan exchange to notify intent to bid.
  • Solicit bids and maintain communication with subcontractors and vendors
  • Assist in preparing required bid forms, including bid bonds, list of subcontractors, and other required forms.
  • Prepare subcontractor bid packages
  • Distribute bid information to subcontractors
  • Ensure proper coverage from subcontractors on bid day
  • Perform a comprehensive "bid day" analysis and scoping of trades
  • Submit bids and budgets by the bid deadline
  • Perform quantity survey
  • Develop thorough qualifications and clarifications
  • Coordinate with Operations for additional documents required (Constructability review, Project Schedule)
  • Evaluate Value Analysis ideas
  • Organize estimates with a clear understanding of Owner’s needs
  • Turn over bid documents and sub scoping information to Project Management in a timely manner.
  • Review documents with Project Management team and highlight areas of concern
  • Review job cost with Project Management team and highlight any subs/material vendors that still need to be evaluated
  • Understand and utilize the Company Policy and Procedures Manual and Best Practices Guidelines including Master Forms Library
